Sound Dome: New Application as part of the In Patient Psychiatric Clinic

Building and practicing a customized mood modulation song list with a Music Therapist is part of the routine care at Houston Methodist's In Patient Psychiatric Clinic. The Sound Dome, a directional speaker with each patients play list icon represented on the accompanying I-Pad, has been retrofitted to be effective in the community area for patients wishing to utilize their play list to modify their mood at any time of day. These lists and the ability to change them are downloaded at discharge so that patients may continue their use at home.
