Music Interventions for Medical Populations: Research and Practice

As participants learn about the neurological, physiological, and psychological connections between music and the human body, they will also gain a greater understanding of music therapists' role in healthcare settings. Through understanding these interactions between music and health, as well as the impact of the therapeutic relationship, music therapists are able to enhance patient outcomes and patient satisfaction through research and evidence-based interventions focused on patients' individualized health goals.
